Is IT and web accessibility viewed as a civil rights issue, risk mitigation, or restrictions on the beauty of your web sites at your institution? Launching an accessibility remediation project can be a big undertaking, and automated testing and auditing tools only detect a small portion of potential errors. Rather than viewing accessibility as an afterthought, it’s best to get people thinking and learning about digital / web accessibility and making that an integral part of your workflows.
This session will provide an overview of how Manhattan College is beginning to address IT accessibility and making online content more usable by everyone. Others are invited to join in the conversation by sharing their experiences.
