From the Airport to Sewanee

To ensure sufficient shuttle service is available for all CLAC guests please make Groome reservations a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Guests using either airport, Nashville (BNA) or *Chattanooga (CHA), can make a reservation with Groome Transportation (contact info above) and request drop off/pick up in the town of Monteagle, Tennessee at The Smoke House Lodge which is 6 miles from campus. If you are staying on-campus in St. Luke's Hall or at The Sewanee Inn, Sewanee will provide transportation from The Smoke House Lodge to campus. For guests staying at The Smoke House Lodge Sewanee will provide regular shuttle service to and from campus for each day's events. All guests using Groome Transportation are asked to fill out the Groome Information Form using the link above so that we can better coordinate your transportation needs.

If you would like to rent a car and drive to campus, Sewanee is located approximately 93 miles (1.5 hours) from Nashville (BNA) and 52 miles (1 hour) from Chattanooga (CHA).

* Special instructions ONLY for those flying into Chattanooga airport:
1. The Groome Transportation shuttle can only drop off at the Chattanooga airport. Those flying into Chattanooga airport will need to take a taxi to the Groome Chattanooga office which is approximately 15 minutes away to board the shuttle. The Groome Transportation office is located at 5712 Ringgold Road, East Ridge, TN 37412 and their telephone is 423.954.1400
2. When making airline or Groome Shuttle reservations please note that Sewanee and Nashville are both in the Central Time Zone and Chattanooga is in the Eastern Time Zone.
